Work From Home Outfits: 5 Essentials for Spring
Sometimes, work from home outfits can make all the difference in your workday mood and even set the tone for your week. And while we feel grateful to be able to rock a sweatpants-and-hoodie uniform for days on end, it can get..uninspiring. Especially as the temperatures get warmer and one emerges from the cozy cocoon of winter. Spring is light, fresh, and full of opportunity. Your WFH wardrobe should be, too.
You’ve got your work from home setup on point, but is your wardrobe set up for success? Work from home clothes should be comfortable and make you feel confident– whether you’re jumping in on a meeting, getting some movement in, or running out for an important errand (aka a perfectly-foamy matcha latte). This is why versatility is so important when it comes to WFH outfits. You want to be able to pivot from one activity to the next. Simply put? With the right work from home clothes, you’ll feel ready for anything. And that mindset opens you up to higher levels of manifestation and success.
Spring is the perfect time to give your WFH closet a makeover. Spring is all about renewal. Change is in the air as flowers bloom and temperatures rise. Honestly, I love winter and working from home can feel totally cozy and focused. Some of my favorite and most productive days have been spent working on a writing project as I prepare soup and listen to music in soft warm loungewear. But spring hits different.
Spring is airy and bright. The air is lighter. You might feel that a heaviness has lifted, and you might be full of ideas and plans for the future.
Your clothes are a daily choice you make- pick clothes that make you feel happy and hopeful.
You might want to do a spring cleaning- sort through and make a conscious decision about the clothes you see each day in your closet or drawers. Donate (or store away) clothes that you know you won’t be reaching for– or don’t want to be reaching for. Make pieces you love more accessible, and consider investing in a few pieces that excite and inspire you.
Here are some ideas for spring workwear essentials:
Work From Home Outfits Essential #1: The White Airy Top
This lightweight white blouse is the perfect top to slip into on a fresh spring morning. A bit of ruffle and lace detailing adds a playful touch that’ll make you feel a little bit dressed up all day, even when you’re wearing it with yoga leggings. Barefoot. Who said work from home outfits should feel stuffy?
A subtle strand necklace provides that put-together feel so that you can jump on calls and meetings with ease. The white is actually really flattering and its brightness creates a calm and cheerful vibe for work stuff, I think.
I live in Lululemon Aligns, and they usually have some cute mauve and lavender styles. These have a twist detail at the waist that I love. They’re midrise and made from the signature blissful, buttery, best-ever Nulu fabric. Plus, they are on sale right now under the “We made too much” section (my favorite section)- I’ll update when they sell out.
If I’m running out for an errand or walk, I’ll just wear this sneakers (preferably bright, white, chunky) and my handy mini backpack purse.
If I’m feeling fancy? Brown leather loafers, brown leather crossbody, maybe even a cowboy hat.

WFH Outfits Essential #2: The Lightweight Pink Blazer
When it comes to work from home outfits, this silky pink blazer is a power move! Wear it for an important meeting or anytime you need an extra boost of confidence (or fun). It’s a nice piece to throw on when you’re lounging around in a tank and need to get profesh real quick for a surprise call or social.
For ultimate spring boss vibes, pair it with matching silky pink shorts and a chunky digital watch (scrunch up those sleeves!).
Heading out? If you’re wearing the shorts, low-key leopard print sneakers are super cute & comfy. Ugly-chic hiking sandals are also one of my top choices, although I am weirder and more committed to comfort than most.
If you’re feeling more dressy, this blazer is amazing with off white leggings and strappy sandals. Honestly, I could do a whole separate post on off white & white yoga leggings, they are so awesome for spring and look cute with booties or super sporty with scrunchy white socks.

WFH Essential #3: The Printed Crewneck Tee
Nothing says spring comfort like a classic T-shirt. So of course tees will be in the the rotation for work from home outfits. But a fun print can add some sophistication for days when you want to look less casual (but still feel like, very, very casual- I recommend always FEELING highly casual, yeah?).
I find that a crewneck cut just feels more profeshi than a scoop neck or V-neck; this might just be a personal preference. I like a pop of white, too, somewhere in the pattern or print.
What to pair the tee with? Leggings of course! Black ones. High rise ones. Buttery Aligns.
Jersey joggers are nice, too!
Wear with your favorite sneakers, or velvet mary-jane flats.

Work From Home Outfits Essentials #4: Black Lace Cardigan
Cardigans are a staple piece in my work from home wardrobe because, again, they are perfect for those moments when you’re slumming it. As in, super slugging around, braless in a tank top, macking down popcorn, kinda not really working– and then you get a email for a client meeting in 15.
If you’re like me, you have a few magical cardigans that can transform you into a real non-slug person again, real quick.
The problem with cardigans in spring is that it’s, well, warm. Sweater material is a no-go. Hot, itchy, horrible- my favorite fall and winter cardigan is like a nightmare show in the spring.
Enter the lace cardigan, providing slug coverage while still allowing for airflow and breathability. I like black because it goes with everything and makes me feel instantly elegant. Covers up the braless situation nicely, too.

Yes, we’ve arrived. The pinnacle of work from home style. The work outfit you dreamed of when you were once stuck in an office, cursing the finger-numbing AC, listening to the endless banter and that damn ping pong table.
Somewhere between pajamas and athletic wear and office casual- that’s where you’ll find this soft, flowy loungewear set.
Long dreamy short-sleeved cardigan? Check.
Cloud-soft wide waistband trousers? Check.
Barely-there bra top? Check.
Need to jump in on a meeting? Close up the cardigan, wrap style.
